For students from Lodz University of Technology, we prepared:
– Passive Optical Network (PON) Technology Learning Kit
– A mock-up of a standard optical network
– Kit for learning CATV and IPTV technologies
These tasks included the creation of a fully functional passive optical network to simulate various network events (eg, increasing network attenuation, changing link split, etc.). A fully functional GPON network with an RF overlay (allowing to transmit CATV television) and IPTV televisions using the IP protocol to transmit the TV signal were created.
