The new type of optical fiber ECF2000K that maintains polarization introduced by FIBRAIN  is   characterized by all-normal dispersion (ANDi) with a minimum value -50 ps/(nm · km) in a spectral range of 1500-2000 nm with a flattened dispersion curve. The fiber is characterized by significantly reduced dispersion slope and a large  birefringence of 10^-4 so a shorter beat length, which ensures excellent maintaining of state of polarization.
