Fibrain FGMS-CxxL-28B converter is an ideal choice for Ethernet users who want to extend the maximum data transmission length. Converter can work with single mode fiber optic cables. Electrical port support transmission speed of 10/100/1000 Mb/s with autonegotiation and can determine cable type. Converter can be installed in Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet networks,works in store-and-forward mode and passes VLAN tagged frames and JumboFrames up to 9kB. Using high quality optical CWDM transceivers with 28dBm power budget allows to set up many fast, long reach connections on minimum number of optical fibers. Converters are available with SFP modules operating on 16 wavelengths compliant with ITU G.694.2 (1271nm ~ 1611nm). External power supply assures reliability and makes maintenance easier. Converter can operate in 2U 19″ rack chassis for 16 devices with redundant power supply.
